We stopped by and gave it a shot. Ample parking and its by a park and on the water viewing the boats. There is seating inside and outside. The dining area is circular on the inside. Carlos and Francisco, the servers were accommodating and prompt. We ordered the Fish and Chips, a clam chowder and the Caeser Salad. The Caeser Salad was bland, so i returned it and got the Chicken and waffles- which was good. It was 3 waffles high and 2 pieces of chicken. The syrup wad tasty and rich. The fish was crisp and fresh, as were the fries. Wifey had a Bloody Mary. It was great- it had celery, salami and other trimmings. They have two menus - brunch and dinner. We will return soon...

Our server Carlos was amazing! He was on top of it with asking if we were good and filling our drinks. We were seated inside and had a great view of the water. Mahi tacos 4/5 was delicious but the fish was a bit dry. The salad on the side was surprisingly good Lemon Blueberry Pancakes 4/5 super super sweet. The dish is more like a sweet treat or dessert! Chicken & waffle 5/5 everything went well with one another and it wasn't too sweet and savory!

There were lots of things that we liked about Lighthouse Cafe. - being able to put our name on the waitlist online. There was an hour wait but I was able to put our name on the list while still at our previous engagement and I was able to check periodically to see where we were on the list so we could make sure to be there when our table became available. - service was great from the hostess to the waitstaff. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. - Some of the food was really delicious. The Lighthouse Benedict was one of the best benedicts I've ever had. From the toasted but soft english muffin to the lemony rich hollandaise sauce that paired so well with the proscuitto and arugula. I wasn't sure about the balsamic glaze but it went so well. Another dish that was really enjoyed was the lobster mac n cheese, full of pieces of lobster and lots of cheese. And the steak salad, that we were told had a peanut dressing but did not. It was a ginger dressing that was just okay. The steak on it was very good, though, flavorful and tender. Dishes that were so-so were the clam chowder, that was a bit watery and a little sour. And the biggest disappointment which was the fish and chips, which two members of our party ordered. There were three small pieces of fish, similar to fish sticks from Costco, and some lukewarm fries that weren't crispy. - The view was lovely and the restaurant was bright and airy. The music was soft, which was nice. The room had a bit of an echo but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't carry on a conversation.

This was the most adorable spot with the most fantastic view of the harbor. The ambience was perfect and the food was out of this world. The ahi tuna was HEAPED onto my chips and there were literal chunks of lobster in my dish. And of course the Beignets were TO. DIE. FOR. Perfect place to host a small party/date night/friends night out. They have made a repeat diner in me.

Went here today to get a gift card and some beignets of course! I actually called a couple days ago and asked if they have gift cards available and if they would mail it to me, to which the lady said yes but we would absolutely not mail it. Not sure why the attitude as I've called around other places and they mail it to you, but a simple no would be fine. Anywho! Drove down with my kids and made a day of it. Went and got my gift card and ordered my beignets and man were they delicious! So airy and light with the best drizzle of cream. The ladies who were helping me were the best! I forget their names, maybe Maddie? And another lady with braces, super nice.

We came in on a weekday for brunch and we were seated immediately. I made a reservation but honestly, it wasn't necessary. We sat outside which had an amazing view of the beach and Newport harbour. It was so nice and relaxing. The menu options were extensive but the lobster mac and cinnamon sugar biegnets. Even though the lobster mac was supposed to be a starter, the portion was generous. It was cheesy, rich and had plenty of lobster chunks for the price. I enjoyed it. The beignets were great too but weren't the typical ones I'm used to. They were flaky and crispy which was interesting. I'll definitely come back for the good food and ambiance.

Went to the lighthouse café with my boyfriend first of all I love the spot I've been coming to Newport ever since I was a little kid. I can't believe I've never been to this place. The food was amazing. I had the filet mignon and eggs. We also ordered lobster mac & cheese and the Chilaquiles 10 out of 10 would recommend Carlos was our server. He was incredible. Very attentive super charming couldn't ask for anything else.

This restaurant is so cute and has the perfect location next to the Newport bay. My friends and I ordered an array of items. Our favorites were the lobster Mac, the calamari, and the beignets. Mimosas here are always a hit and the service is amazing. Our server was incredibly helpful and kind and provided us with exceptional service. A few notes: My friend thought the lobster rolls were too buttery to touch which made it difficult to eat. I say the eggs in the chilaquiles were under cooked, but that is my personal preference as I requested medium hard and they came more sunny side up with the white still runny.
